Regional Overview
The Australian Environmental Division – operating in the worlds’ driest continent – is uniquely structured to provide specialist services to the Water Resources Sector in addition to the Traditional Environmental work conducted globally. The sub division, within the Australian Environmental Division was formalised with the acquisition of Ecowise Environmental in December 2009. Established in 2004, the Wangaratta Laboratory is part of the Australian network of ALS Environmental Division Laboratories (Water Resources). The laboratory provides water testing and expertise to the North East and Goulburn Valley regions of Victoria and services the North East Region Water Authority.
The Wangaratta Laboratory also provides Microbiological services to the food industry in the areas of Dairy, Meat, Fruit and Vegetable testing. The Wangaratta office provides quotations, technical advice, sample containers, sample collection and pick up and container delivery. As well as the comprehensive range of microbiological services provided in Wangaratta the laboratory also utilises the extensive laboratory capability of the Melbourne (Scoresby) Laboratory to enable comprehensive services in water analysis.
